Setting up your email in Microsoft Outlook

You have probably been directed here by a member of @voiceofm3 to help set up your email account in Microsoft Outlook.

Just follow the straightforward steps below and we'll have you up and running in no time at all...

1. In Microsoft Outlook, select Tools > E-mail Accounts



2. On the E-mail Accounts wizard window, select "Add a new e-mail account" and click Next



3. For your server type, select "POP3" and click Next



4. On the Internet E-mail Settings (POP3) window, enter your information as follows:
   
   Your Name
   Enter your first and last name (ex: Cheryl Cole)
   
   E-mail Address
   Enter your email address
   
   User Name:
   Enter your email address in again in full
   
   Password
   Enter the password given to you by M3 for your e-mail account
   
   Incoming mail server (POP3)
   Your incoming server is mail.yourdomainname.com When we say 'yourdomainname.com' what we actually want you to enter here is the main web address used for your website, but without the www's. This means if your website is www.thisismygreatwebsite.co.uk then your incoming mail server would be mail.thisismygreatwebsite.co.uk, simple? We hope so..
   
   Outgoing mail server (SMTP)
   Your outgoing server is mail.yourdomainname.com Same as above - you should be catching on by now ;)
   
   Click "More Settings."



5. On the Internet E-mail Settings window, select the "Outgoing Server" tab.
6. Select "My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication".
7. Select "Use same settings as my incoming mail server".
8. Click OK



9. Click Next



10. Click Finish

That's it, job done! If this doesn't work, then your probably best off looking for the nearest child and asking them to set it up for you..
