Background

Formula One Autocentres is one of the largest independently owned autocentre chains in the UK. Established over 40 years ago, the company currently owns over 85 state-of-the-art branches located throughout the South/South East and the Midlands, providing a full range of services including tyres, exhausts, batteries, brakes, clutches, MOT's and servicing.

Task

To update Formula One Autocentres’ existing website, with the objective of growing sales and introducing the brand to a new online shopping audience.

Response

By analysing and assessing the company’s existing site and applying UX design, M3 was able to improve its functionality – successfully reducing the number of stages in the buying process, and enhancing the user experience by making the new site responsive for use on mobile and tablets. Featuring specially commissioned photography combined with a fresh, bold design, the new site allows customers to buy tyres and batteries, as well as book services and MOTs online, to be carried out at any one of over 85 Formula One Autocentres sites around the country.

To support the website, and in order to drive sales and attract new customers, M3 maintains an ongoing marketing programme that includes:
