Co-operative Energy is part of The Midcounties Co-operative, the largest independent co-operative in the UK with sales of £1.1 billion and 430,000 members. Midcounties set up Co-operative Energy in 2010, and although founded by a regional co-operative, Co-operative Energy is very much a national business, covering the whole of England, Wales and Scotland.
To create an online and offline branding and acquisition campaign emphasising the principle differences between Co-op Energy and its competitors.
Highlighting Co-op Energy’s caring attitude along with its wider ethical values, M3’s campaign invites customers to choose an ‘energy supplier with a heart.’ Showing simple illustrations of appliances featuring heart-shaped icons, each communication delivers an example of Co-op Energy’s values and how they have affected its customers and their local communities.
A call to action drives visitors to the website, where they can ‘follow their heart’ and sign up.
